Apple, Adobe and Microsoft

Till last year Microsoft and Apple were at each others throat. Microsoft was playing bully to Apple as it was still the undisputed king of the Desktop world and the best technology company in the world..in terms of revenue and Market share.
Things have changed and 1 Billion$ or give or take 2 quarters for Apple to cross Microsoft as the undisputed king of the technological world, things have changed for Microsoft.
Be it echoing Steve Jobs comments on Flash or backing up HTML 5, it is quietly following Apple to the queue and taking the fight directly to Adobe. I believe the onus is on Flash to deliver a quality product with 10.2 on Android and my guess is that it would fail to begin with.

Since Microsoft has taken the plunge in it's fight with Adobe by accusing of it's "crappy" products (There can be a separate blog on crappy Microsoft products..Hint..Remember Windows ME??? )

But I was wondering a couple of days back, why doesn't Microsoft actually provide a native PDF document viewer to it's consumer?
Why the need to install Adobe products if they are crappy? Microsoft has more than 40 Billion $ in cash..why not just create a simple native pdf viewer to it's users which can be integrated to all of it's Office product line? Mac does it...So does Linux. It won't cost more than 10 million$ to develop it...1 million if given to Offshore as their pet projects?
That would make a lot of their users happy!
